Claudette, sister restaurant to Rosemary’s, offers provincial French cuisine in the heart of Greenwich Village.  Located on Fifth Avenue at West 9th Street, the interior was originally set several steps below grade and concealed behind a 1970’s era sidewalk enclosure.  The new design removes the enclosures and aligns the floor level with the sidewalk.  Large French doors open directly out to the public, helping to animate the neighborhood with an air of pleasant hospitality.  (photos © Claudette)
