The Morris Guesthouse is a 2,400 square foot project that consists of an existing barn adjacent to a larger residence on a lake in Connecticut. The barn was converted into a guesthouse with two bedrooms, a guest kitchen/dining area and a lofted living space. The spaces were arranged to afford views of the lake and include covered porches at each room for a tranquil home away from home. Once the guesthouse was complete, the client returned to have us renovate their main residence (photos © Durston Saylor).
